Industry Custom Pricing - CR

This industry includes organizations that locate and develop archaeological sites.

Operation Details:

Manual digging is done in certain areas to test the potential for providing data, bone fragments, and other similar evidence. If signs are encouraging, a survey of the area is taken using transits, a plane table, etc. Because of the delicate and fragile subject matter, picks and shovels, wheelbarrows, shakers/screens, and possibly hoses and pumps, are used cautiously in clearing the site. Any animal and vegetable formations are analyzed and the area is mapped and often secured.

Underwriting Considerations:

General land surveying is classified in industry 86401. Geophysical surveying is classified in industry 86405. Seismic surveying is classified in industry 09902.
