Indoor/Outdoor recreational facilities may also provide incidental services in conjunction with their primary service. Incidental services can include, but not limited to; food services, picnic areas, barbecue area, gas and propane sales, rental or sale of fishing equipment.

The operations of recreation vehicle or campsite parks are considered a part of this industry. The parks rent sites on either a daily or seasonal basis. Operators are responsible for site maintenance and collecting rent. Amenities can include a store, laundry facilities, bathrooms, pools, boat rentals, mini golf, propane sales and other services.

Amusement parks are establishments which group together and operate, in whole or in part, a number of attractions such as mechanical rides, amusement devices, refreshment stands, picnic grounds, etc. Amusement parks usually do not supply accommodations.

Guiding, trail rides, and pack trains are generally sightseeing tours into remote areas, often only on a seasonal basis. On longer excursions, cooks and camp helpers accompany the party to set up and take down camp, prepare meals, pack animals, etc. A base of operations is maintained where animals are kept and cared for, and supplies and equipment stored.

Fishing and hunting excursions are also classified in this industry. A company offering this service can arrange for accommodations, usually a hotel/motel/lodge as a secondary service to the adventure expedition. A guide may accompany the clients to a particular location, and then return at a later time to pick up the clients and return to the hotel/motel/lodge.

A guiding, rafting or pack train-type operation in this classification will typically maintain the required facilities and equipment. Occasionally, transportation or accommodation may be subcontracted.

Restaurants that offer small scale indoor play places remain classified in Industry 87501 - Restaurants/Catering.
