Industry Code: 86201

Exempt
Industry Custom Pricing - CR

This industry includes businesses that set up advertising displays in stores, store windows and/or in buses.

Operation Details:

Stores will usually supply the goods, mannequins, panels, floral arrangements, etc., for the displays; and businesses in this industry will arrange and assemble the display either in a store window, mall or inside the store area. Displays are changed periodically for change of seasons, special sales, etc.

Businesses that change advertising cards in buses do so by simply removing old cards and inserting new ones into a casing, either inside or outside the bus. This only requires the use of screwdrivers and clippers.

Businesses hired to set up displays and check stock on hand for product suppliers at retail stores are classified in this industry. These individuals do not carry any stock, they ensure that the retail store has enough stock on hand and if not, will advise the retailer to order more. They do not offer any technical support or operate any equipment on display.

Underwriting Considerations:

Employers in this industry do not manufacture the signs or show cards used in displays or buses. Businesses that manufacture outdoor signs are classified under industry 39701, Outdoor Advertising, or industry 28603, Signs, Banners, Display Manufacturing.
