This industry describes businesses that operate, maintain and service coin-operated amusement games in their own arcades and/or placing their game/ride equipment/machines in other premises, such as lobbies, malls, lounges and bars.

Operation Details:

These premises contain coin operated amusement games such as pin ball machines, shooting gallery games, games of chance and skill, such as driving skill games. Operations involve making change and supervision.

Amusement game operators who don't lease space but place equipment in other companies' places of business are also included in this industry. These employers typically own game or ride machines which are placed in a lounge, mall, hotel, etc. The business and the amusement company share in the games' proceeds while the amusement company retains ownership and servicing responsibility for the equipment. These operators often buy and sell new and used equipment as well as provide service.
