Businesses will operate a retail sales area with displays, and may employ technical staff, sales clerks, office and administrative staff.
Hobby and handicraft stores often offer classes to complement the sale of products. This is considered incidental and not eligible for an additional classification.
This industry does not include businesses that, for retail sales, will perform food manufacturing or food preparation activities such as those conducted by coffee and doughnut shops.
Businesses that sell specialty coffee beans in retail quantities, 750 grams, etc., are classified in this industry. Such businesses may grind the beans and may also brew coffee expressly for the purpose of sampling.
