Operation Details:

Activities and services may include baggage handling, engine overhauls, aircraft servicing, refueling services and activities, on-site emergency services, air traffic and control services, etc., and other similar functions.

Businesses may utilize conveyors, radios/radar, buggies/carts, trucks, pumps, mobile equipment, emergency equipment, conveyors, handtools, machining equipment, warehouse/hangar/garage facilities, and may employ technicians, air traffic controllers, equipment operators, rescue personnel, laborers, warehouse and office/administrative staff.

Underwriting Considerations:

Businesses that operate aircraft are not in this industry. Regional Airport Authorities are exempt by the General Regulations, but are classified on a voluntary basis under Operation of Buildings, industry 89702. Businesses within an airport facility, such as restaurants, gift shops, etc. are classified in the industry of the specific operations conducted.
