This equipment is also used in agriculture applications such as suppressing dust in grain bins. In other industrial applications, dust suppression systems are used to prevent dust or similar particles from accumulating in storage areas or during transportation of grain, coal, cement powder, etc.

On-site assembly and installation may involve bending, cutting and forming metal to allow for venting and directing air through flues. Businesses may also drill, bolt and wire during the assembly and installation process with some minor welding involved.

Workers may include technical staff, labourers, sales/estimators, office/administrative staff.

Underwriting Considerations:

Farm implement sales and service is classified in industry 62200, and would include businesses that additionally sell, service and install grain dryers.

Industry Custom Pricing: Waiving Cost Relief Option

This industry has chosen to participate in Industry Custom Pricing effective January 1, 2010. Costs related to the aggravation of a pre-existing condition will not be removed from the experience record of employers classified in this industry. In return, the portion of premiums collected to fund retroactive cost relief has been removed from the industry rate, resulting in a reduction in WCB premium rates for the industry.
